The attached file, INTRONOS.TXT, is an ASCII version of my "Getting Started
with TCP/IP on Ham Radio." (Soon to be a major motion picture...)
The document was originally written with Word for Windows, and included a
fair amount of fancy formatting. I've done only a minimal conversion to
straight ASCII, and as a result the typography may not be as clear as it
should be.
On the other hand, it ought to be very easy to display on the screen or print
on just about any ASCII device. It includes only tabs, formfeeds, linefeeds,
and carriage returns as control characters, has the formfeeds spaced at no
more than 59 lines, and has lines short enough that you should be able to hang
print it with a 1 inch left margin on 3-hole punched paper.
If anyone wants to go through this and format it properly (fix the hanging
indents, use quotes around words that originally were bolded or underlined,
etc.), you are welcome to do so. Just promise to get a copy of your version
to me so I can update it to track changes to the text.
I'm also interested in correcting any errors of fact or opinion that folks
may spot.
The obligatory notice: INTRONOS.TXT is copyright 1992 by John R. Ackermann,
Jr. Permission is given for non-commercial copying, distribution, and use.
You may modify the document, but you must retain my copyright notice in
addition to a notice identifying you as making the modifications (I'll take
the blame for my mistakes, but not yours...), and you must provide me with a
copy of the modified version.
